All shipments are subject to full containers, so book early to avoid missing out. Get Routed reserves the right to ask bike owners to send their bikes to another loading departure point (at the owner’s expense) if a viable shipment (minimum 10 bikes) is not reached from the preferred loading port.
Please understand that we do not control global shipping movements, and unexpected issues can occur. While we strive to have your bike delivered UK & Europe when you want it, factors such as weather and delays from shipping companies can sometimes interfere with our best efforts. Although these occurrences are rare, they can be frustrating for both you and us. We take all possible precautions to avoid such situations.
Our cost to ship motorcycles to and from the UK and Europe is designed to ensure a smooth and efficient process. For return shipments, the cost for standard-size bikes (less than 2.3 meters long) is $4985, while long bikes (2.3 meters or longer) are priced at $8595. One-way shipments are available at $3845 for standard-size bikes and $5615 for long bikes. These prices include container hire and transport from the depot to and from the port, sea freight, UK and Australian customs clearance, and loading and unloading at both ends.
While our pricing covers a range of essential services, there are some items not included in the cost. Specifically, bike insurance in the container is not included and must be arranged separately. Previously included in our shipping costs, bike insurance now requires you to make your own arrangements due to compliance with insurance legislation. Additionally, our prices do not cover transport to and from our loading depots. Australia enforces strict regulations for the importation of vehicles, including motorcycles, which are managed by the Department of Transport & Regional Services (DOTARS). If you have been overseas for more than 12 months and have owned and used a bike built after January 1, 1989, during that time, you are eligible to import it back into Australia. To proceed, you must obtain a Vehicle Import Approval (VIA). For motorcycles built before January 1, 1989, the 12-month usage rule does not apply, but a VIA is still required. To apply for the VIA, email [email protected] for the link to the DOTARS application site. Importantly, we cannot load your bike in the country of origin until we receive the original Vehicle Import Approval document. This document is crucial for securing Customs Clearance in Australia and ensuring a smooth import process.
We offer one-way export services for your motorcycle to the UK and Europe. Please note that each country has its own set of import regulations that must be followed. It is essential to familiarise yourself with these regulations to ensure compliance and avoid any issues with customs clearance. Our team is here to guide you through the process. Please bear in mind imports into other countries must be dealt with according to the import regulations of that country.
