If you’re thinking of attending the IoM TT in 2026, you’re in the right place. In this blog, we will cover everything you should know about the IoM TT Trip 2026.

What’s the Isle of Man TT All About?

If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with this event. However, if you are new to the biking community and racing events, there are a few things you should know about the IoM TT.

The Isle of Man TT is a globally recognised road racing event that’s known for high speed, fearless cornering, and stunning mountain views during all of the races. It’s an unbeatable exhibition of racing skill as TT riders push the limits on the island’s public roads, closed specially for the occasion.

Dates for 2026 have not been officially announced yet, but the event held in previous years suggests we can expect action in late May through early June.

The roads will be closed to the public during the official race and practice sessions. However, even if you’re not participating in the race, you can still ride on the race course on your own bike at your own pace when the roads are open, especially during early mornings or in between sessions.

IoM TT is A Week of Pure Motorsport Energy

The Isle of Man TT offers a week of frantic motorsport unlike any other. While the official 2026 calendar has not been released, it is likely to start with Practice Week during the final week of May, beginning on May 25. Riders set off during this time, completing high-speed laps of the Mountain Course and fine-tuning their bikes and lines.

Then there is Race Week, which is likely to take place from May 30 to June 6, when the intensity and thrill reach a new level. As a general guide from previous years, the racing begins on the last days of May with Supersport Race 1 and Sidecar Race 1. The event progresses with the Superbike TT, followed by the TT Legacy Lap, when supporters can take the ride on the race course on their own bike in a guided procession.

The racing then unfolds with Superstock and Supertwin races in early June and Supersport Race 2 and Sidecar Race 2 shortly afterwards. All these culminate in the Senior TT on the event’s final day, which is the end of the event.

Want to See More Than the TT?

Some riders like to go on adventures beyond the Isle of Man TT, making the most of having their bike in Europe and the UK. A favourite is a visit to Northern Ireland in early May for the North West 200, another legendary road race that draws massive crowds and offers a thrilling lead-in to the TT itself.

Others go further afield, into the idyllic English, Scottish, or Welsh countryside, or over the English Channel to explore Spain on a motorbike and beyond. Motorsport fans also have an opportunity to see fantastic international racing events such as the MotoGP at Silverstone (typically takes place within the set timeline) or the iconic Dutch TT at Assen in late June.

Just let us know your schedule, and we will help make it all happen. With Get Routed, TT is only the beginning.
