Maggie's New Zealand Tours -

None,... it's a dead duck!

see below for an explanation

After much nashing of teeth we have decided not to run pre-packaged guided tours of New Zealand.
The bike shipping business has grown to such an extent that we simply don't have time to organise guided tours of anywhere!

OK, so there is 1 good option if you want a guided tour and another if you want to self guide

1. We have put together a printed guide with a recommended NZ route (or South Island or North Island, if one of them is what you want) which includes all recommended roads & stops. Plus all the best roadsand scenery and tourist spots worth a visit.

Option 1. is free and we can email it to you in advance of your trip - use it to plan your tour.

2. Contact John Rains (good bloke, but still haven't collected any of the beers he's promised me for all the business I've sent him) of Te Waipounamu Motorcycle Hire and Tours - +61 3 372 3537 or email to :- nzbike@motorcycle-hire.co.nz.

John's company has been running motorcycle tours of New Zealand for nearly 600 years and he knows everything there is to know about the business. When I were a lad I used to lissen to John's tall tales (John started his business in a disused garage in Lyttelton and I visited him a few times hundreds of years ago) and eventually after moving from Christchurch to Melbourne in 1996, started my own business - shipping bikes.
