This is where it all started - Ali-Lite trailers - good people! Good products.
In 2008 Dave Milligan & Maggie Wolfenden bought a camper trailer to attend the Ulysses AGM in Townsville. The camping experience was great but the towing was not and neither was the overall quality of the Chinese built unit. After 3 weeks on the road and back home from our ride to Townsville Dave sold the camper trailer, but being hooked on the convenience and all round camping experience of a camper trailer decided to find an Aussie manufacturer who could produce a quality unit at a reasonable price.
After asking a million questions of trailer owners and browsing the Ulysses web site forum and asking more questions there Dave came up with a clear winner - Ali Lite trailers were recommended by over 65% of the respondees to the many questions.
Problem - Ali-Lite Trailers didn't (then) make camper units for the trailers. Several visits to Wangaratta to nag David Nelson and a social night out with he and wife Mandy, and David made the decision to go ahead and build a prototype camper trailer (for Get Routed) using his delux trailer and a camper unit produced by neighbouring business who were already building full size camper units (for towing behind 4x4 off road vehicles) using top quality Aussie materials - alloy frames and the best canvass money can buy.
2 weeks later David Nelson announced he had bought the neighbouring camper trailer and tent business (which also does car re-upholstery) and that eventually would combine the two businesses on the same premises. As of October 2009 that has now happened.
