When you arrive late for a loading it really ruins our day. Maybe it will ruin some of yours!
All loadings, be it Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Christchurch, Felixstowe (UK), Portland Oregon (USA) are advertisied on the original docs you received before you made your booking.
That time is 9am on the date shown on that document. NOT 10am or later.
Don't assume we won't mind if you arrive for loading late. We do mind!
As I write this (1.35pm on Thursday 20 March, 2008) I am still waiting for Chris Willits to bring his Triumph Speedmaster back to our Chch depot for loading into a container going back to Brisbane. He's just had 4 weeks wonderful touring around NZ in perfect weather.
He's got 25 minutes and if he don't arrive by 2.00pm I'll shut the container doors and the container will be trucked to Lyttelton port for loading onto the ship. The ship is waiting for this box.
Chris will be most pissed off because our next Chch to Brisbane shipment is being loaded at 9.00am on Thursday 18 December, 2008.
In future the container will be sent to port as soon as the last bike is loaded regardless of whether there are more bikes still to come back.
